How to update bios P5GC MX/1333

Toturial At this time we will discuss how to update the BIOS on the AMI Bios under dos. Some things that need to be prepared include:

1. Motherboard ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 
2. BIOS file that will be used to update, adjust to the type of your motherboard in this case I use the 0413 version of the update files
3. Flashtool program is AFUDOS
4. Bootable Flash disk
5. UPS

Make a bootable Flash disk Flash disks are used to load DOS system so that it can be used for updates. To make ready the following programs: 1. HP USB TOOL 2. msdossystem 3. bios update file all files you can download from here
 Create a Bootable USB Disk advance

• Install the HP USB Format Utility
• Run the software HP USB Format Utility
• Download files MS DOS File System
• Extract and put the file in a place where only
• Run the software HP USB Format Utility 
• Format your USB and tick the "Create a DOS startup disk" and check "using DOS System Files located at" and point the msdos file system files contained in the folder where you store
• Click Start when ready. Wait until the process is complete
• Copy and AFUDOS BIOS file into the flash drive so you can easily copy it in the root directory
• Plug your USB stick boot who has prepared before the computer is turned on
• Enter the Bios by pressing "DEL" when the new computer is switched on
• Go to the menu "Advanced BIOS Feature"
• Select "Hard drive boot priority", then make your flash boot priority no. 1 with the '+' or '-' on the keyboard
• Save the BIOS settings by pressing the 'F10?, Then press' Y' (Yes), then enter
• The computer will restart, and allow it to go into DOS Operating System

Update Bios Once entered into the DOS prompt you should type:

• AFUDOS / iP5GCMX.ROM
• Wait until the process is completed. Try to keep your PC is not dead or on the restart for it to use the UPS so that the update process is smooth and uninterrupted. The process took about 3 minutes.

Also if you do not want to make a USB bootable, you can also use the windows 98 cd and boot (before changing the primary boot to CD ROOM computer and restart the computer) after the entry into the DOS system then move the directory into the directory containing the files you flasdisk AFUDOS . exe and the bios update file (do not forget if the form of zip file, then extract it first) that has been in the copy into the flash.

I assume that we have entered into the DOS system and located in the directory C: \  then type "E:" without quotes and then we will be in the directory E:  then type AFUDOS / iP5GCMX.ROM wait a while until the update process finish and keep your computer does not die during the process of updating the bios.

Note: AFUDOS flasher program should be named AFUDOS to be executed.
